2010 08 Clayoquot Zipline Report

See this 10 minute Wilderness Committee 2010 August on the ground report from the opening of the West Coast Wild zipline Adventure. The zipline is a partnership between West Coast Wild and the Tla-o-qui-aht Nation. It is located in the Kennedy River canyon, about mid way between Port Alberni and Tofino BC just off Highway 4. This area is within the Tla-o-qui-aht’s Ha’uukmin Tribal Park.

Zip Line thrills in Park City Utah

Zip Line Haleakala

The first zip line ever in the United States is on the side of Haleakala Volcano on the Island of Maui. Here is a riders’s-eye view of the longest of their 6 slides. All the other runs have you landing on a simple wooden platform. This one has a rolling ladder rig which can be dangerous for the employee, but perfectly safe for the rider.
